Most people can tell you what the Bible has to say about almost anything you can think of. My question is, if we have so much knowledge of the word of God, why do we have so much sin and immorality in our world today? It seems our churches are full every Sunday and we boast the largest Christian population in the world, yet we see more immorality, and acceptance of what the Bible calls sin everyday. James made a statement in James Chapter 1 that if we know the word then we should live by the what the word says. Sometimes it is hard to fight temptation, but the labor of righteousness is sweeter than the spoils of sin. God has not called us to just study and learn his word, but he has set forth for us to learn his word so that we can apply it to our lives. When we live by the guidelines for us that have been set in scripture, we live more honest and productive lives that brings joy to us now, and security for eternity. Let us not be hearers only but be doers of the word....
