1. Pray to Exalt God

Prayer begins with worship—lifting our eyes from ourselves and focusing on God’s greatness. When we exalt God, we acknowledge His sovereignty, holiness, and faithfulness. This sets the tone for all our prayers and aligns our hearts with His will.

• Scriptures:

  • Psalm 103:1 – “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name.”

  • Matthew 6:9 – “Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name.”

Prayer Focus:

• Praise God for His love, wisdom, and power.

• Thank Him for His faithfulness in your life.

• Ask Him to be glorified in every situation you face.

Example Prayer:
“Lord, You are holy, mighty, and faithful. I lift Your name high today. May my life honor You in all I do.”

2. Pray for Your Family

God has entrusted your family to your love and care, making them a key focus in prayer. Pray for their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Pray for unity, protection, and their growth in the knowledge of Christ.

• Scriptures:

  • Joshua 24:15 – “But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

  • Acts 16:31 – “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

Prayer Focus:

• Salvation for family members who don’t yet know Christ.

• Protection over your home, marriages, and children.

• Spiritual growth and Godly influence in daily life.

Example Prayer:
“Father, I lift my family to You. Protect our hearts, guide our steps, and help us grow closer to You each day.”

3. Pray for Your Church

The local church is God’s plan for discipleship, worship, and mission. Prayer strengthens the body, encourages leaders, and advances God’s work through your church.

• Scriptures:

  • Matthew 16:18 – “I will build My church, and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.”

  • Acts 2:42 – “They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”

Prayer Focus:

• Pray for pastors, elders, and ministry leaders to have wisdom and courage.

• Pray for unity among believers and love for one another.

• Ask God to help the church boldly share the gospel.

Example Prayer:
“Lord, bless our church, guide our leaders, and help us be a light in our community. May we serve You faithfully together.”

4. Pray for the Lost

God’s heart is for every person He calls to experience salvation. Pray that He would open eyes and hearts, giving opportunities for the gospel to reach those who do not yet know Christ.

• Scriptures:

  • Luke 19:10 – “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

  • Romans 10:1 – “Brethren, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation.”

Prayer Focus:

• Pray for friends, neighbors, and co-workers who haven’t surrendered to Jesus.

• Pray for missionaries and church plants around the world.

• Ask God to remove obstacles to faith and give boldness to share the gospel.

Example Prayer:
“Father, bring salvation to those who are lost. Open hearts to Your truth and use me to point others to Christ.”
